Quentara’s coconut based medium chain triglycerides stay liquid even at zero degrees Celsius.

Due to their shorter length fatty acids, MCTs are easily digested and acts as a natural energy and dietary supplement.

Moreover, MCT oil is known to help manage condition like epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease and Autism.

It also shows antimicrobial and anti-fungal effects through its powerful medium chained fatty acids.

Our MCT oil is made of over 95% C8 and C10 fatty acids.

Why is MCT so special?

Because of the shorter chain length of MCTs, when in intestines, they’re rapidly broken down and absorbed into the body. Unlike longer-chain fatty acids containing oils (Olive, Sunflower, Palm etc.), MCTs go straight to your liver, where they can be used as an instant energy source or turned into ketones. (Healthline, 2016).

Traditionally, MCTs have been used in patients with malnutrition or malabsorption syndromes as they do not require energy for absorption, utilization or storage. Effects of MCTs are studied extensively in recent research studies. Benefits on weight control and body fat mass have been observed in many studies (see Marten et al. 2006).

MTC oil is also used to manufacture in sport drinks, energy bars and meal replacements and special baby foods.

What is coconut based MCT?

There are several raw materials to extract MCT oil. The most famous being Coconut and Palm Kernal. Coconut oil contains approximately 60–70% MCT. Palm kernel oil with approximately has 2% C6, 55% C8, 42% C10 and 1% C12 fatty acids (AOCS, 2007). The MCT oil that SMR promotes is purely of coconut origin (No palm or any other sources used).

Is the product organic certified?
